Mana Tech, in partnership with former Quito Mayor Mauricio Rodas, today announced Tech Cities of the Americas (TCA), a new alliance designed to help participating cities strengthen their innovation ecosystems and connect their companies with investment, partnerships and new markets.
The initiative will officially launch in Miami during the first Tech Cities of the Americas Summit, December 3-4, 2026, bringing this community together around a central question: how can cities across the Americas work more closely with the private sector, investors and entrepreneurs to accelerate economic growth and innovation?
The summit will build on planned preparatory working sessions with city technical teams and innovation partners, followed by a dedicated session in Miami to help shape the alliance’s priorities and work beyond the event.
The Americas have extraordinary cities, entrepreneurs, companies and capital, but too often they operate within separate networks. TCA is about creating the infrastructure for those networks to connect. Miami is uniquely positioned to be that meeting point, and the Summit in December is where we begin turning those connections into partnerships, investment opportunities and projects that can continue long after the event ends.
— Charly Esnal, CEO, Mana Tech
An alliance built around business growth
TCA aims to help companies from participating cities access investment, enter new markets and build partnerships across the Americas. The initiative will connect mayors, senior city officials and local innovation ecosystems from across Latin America and the Caribbean with investors and business networks in Miami, while supporting collaboration among participating cities to help their companies expand regionally and internationally.
Over two days of core programming, participants will take part in city showcases, investor conversations, curated matchmaking, working sessions, mayor-to-mayor exchanges and discussions focused on moving opportunities toward execution. A dedicated working session on December 4 will bring together participating mayors and their technical teams to refine shared priorities and help shape the alliance’s work following the summit.
The agenda will address questions around how cities attract investment and talent, how companies expand across markets, how founders move from local traction to global scale, how public and private leaders can work together more effectively, and how capital can move more efficiently across borders.
Organizers plan to introduce a founding TCA Declaration during the summit, setting out a shared commitment to collaboration among participating cities.
An alliance built with cities at the table
Mana Tech is developing TCA together with Mauricio Rodas, who served as Mayor of Quito, Ecuador, from 2014 to 2019 and has spent much of his career working at the intersection of cities, international cooperation, infrastructure and investment.
Rodas served as Mayor of Quito from 2014 to 2019, hosted the United Nations Habitat III Conference and held leadership roles in major international city networks, including UCLG and C40 Cities. He is Executive Secretary of the SDSN Global Commission for Urban SDG Finance, bringing experience in city cooperation and urban investment to the initiative.
Cities across the Americas face many of the same challenges, but they also share an enormous opportunity. The objective of TCA is to create a trusted space where city leaders can engage directly with the investors, companies and innovators capable of helping them execute. At the same time, we want businesses and investors to better understand the opportunities emerging from our cities. This has to be a two-way conversation that produces tangible outcomes.
— Mauricio Rodas, Former Mayor of Quito
Why Miami
TCA builds on Mana Tech’s work supporting international companies through Miami. The alliance aims to extend those connections to participating cities, helping their companies access U.S. investors and business networks while building partnerships in other markets across the Americas.
TCA takes that model one step further by bringing cities themselves into the network.
Miami’s role as a gateway becomes more valuable when it helps businesses enter new markets and cities attract investment. Through TCA, we want participants to identify where their priorities align and build relationships that support expansion and collaboration beyond the summit.
— Conrado Morais, COO, Mana Tech
Following the inaugural Miami Summit, TCA will continue working with participating cities to develop the priorities identified through the Alliance’s working sessions, with a focus on cross-city collaboration, internationalization, investment, knowledge exchange and pathways for high-potential companies to access new markets.
The first Tech Cities of the Americas Summit will take place December 3-4, 2026, in Miami.
Participation is curated and invitation-based. To request an invitation or learn more, visit tcaalliance.com.
