Mana Tech is on a mission to establish downtown Miami as the next international hub for tech entrepreneurship. By bringing together founders from around the world, we are building a thriving ecosystem. A key initiative in achieving this is our carefully curated accelerator programs, specifically designed to support international tech entrepreneurs looking to break into the U.S. market.

Here’s a closer look at the Miami Immersion Program:

We select 16 tech startups from across the globe and conduct a thorough analysis to ensure they’re ready to expand into the U.S. market. After the selection process, the program kicks off with a virtual session. Over the first four weeks, founders participate in online mentoring with our expert network and engage in pitch practice to fine-tune their presentations. The program is structured to equip startups with the tools needed for a successful U.S. market entry.

After completing the online sessions, founders travel to Miami for an in-person immersive experience with the Mana Tech team. They start with a welcome dinner, where they meet the team and each other for the first time. During this gathering, the team offers insights on what to expect in the coming days and provides valuable advice on leveraging connections and mentorship to accelerate startup growth. 

During the week in Miami, founders attend workshops that cover all aspects of entering the U.S. market. They also join after-office networking events to connect with the local tech community. On the final day, founders participate in a “speed dating” pitch session, presenting to mentors who select the top six pitches for Demo Day. Each chosen founder delivers a 4-minute pitch, followed by Q&A. The top founders will pitch again in front of a new set of judges and the Miami tech audience, where a Demo Day winner and People’s Choice Award will be announced.

During the in-person week, we welcomed mentors including Eugenia Di Marco, Camila Peñailillo, Aaron Chavez and special guest María Camila Castellanos, Executive Director at ProColombia USA. They shared insights with the founders, emphasizing the significance of such programs in guiding Latin American entrepreneurs in their journey to establish a foothold in the US market.

Highlights encompassed a luncheon sponsored by PAG Law, a wellness session with Uplift Experience, and a padle tennis tournament uniting founders, mentors, investors and partners.

Founders had the opportunity to interact with fellow Mana Techies and learned from mentors including Patrick Cook, John Main, Wilson Pais, Mariano Amartino, JP Melo and others. On Tuesday, they joined a networking event hosted by our partner PAG Law and took part in the second edition of the Miami AI Salon.

During Wednesday afternoon’s Karaoke night, Walker Moseley from Guitars Over Guns made a special appearance. He shared insights on how music education empowers children from vulnerable communities, helping them find their voices and realize their potential as future leaders.

As the program unfolded, the grand finale ended in an epic Demo Day where seven finalists showcased their ventures. The selected companies were: Dealflow, Examedi, Horizon, Lara AI, Pefai, Snap Compliance, SoyMomo, with SoyMomo taking first place and Horizon earning the most peer votes for the People’s Choice Award.

Special recognition to the other startups from this cohort: Astro Marketing Academy, Cunda, DataKnow, FractalUp, Future Biome, Hitch, Medify AI, Prisma, PromptCopilot, Promtior and Reccupera.

As customary, Mana Tech organized a welcome dinner on Sunday, providing founders the opportunity to meet face-to-face for the first time and familiarize themselves with our team and objectives. The in-person segment of the program started on Monday, with these innovators engaging in mentorship sessions and fine-tuning their pitching abilities. Tuesday featured workshops throughout the day, followed by an evening networking event in collaboration with PAG Law. This gathering facilitated connections between founders and legal professionals eager to support international startups entering the US market. 

On Wednesday and Thursday, founders took advantage of the chance to attend tech events taking place in Miami during Tech Month. These events not only offered valuable content but also allowed founders to connect and learn more about the Miami Tech ecosystem. 

Finally, on Friday, founders participated in a speed dating activity with ten judges tasked with selecting the top seven startups to pitch at Demo Day. Among the finalists were Botano, Chill It, Nideport, Parsed, Propy Keys, Teramot, and Unergy. These entrepreneurs presented their pitches to a distinguished panel of judges, including Brad Bowery, Ted Coughlin, Valerie Derome, Ariel Jaduszliwer, Ines Lucena and Valentina Terranova. While the decision was challenging, Chill It emerged as the winner! Additionally, Unergy received the People’s Choice Award for Most Valuable Fellow Worker. 

A big shout out to the remaining startups for their invaluable contributions: Cux, MentorU, Nous Latam, and Pala Blockchain.

The Microsoft AI Latino Immersion Program 2.0 will follow the successful model of previous Mana Tech Immersion Programs, offering three virtual weeks of intensive training followed by an immersive on-site week in Miami. The virtual part will run from April 1st to April 19th, with the in-person week taking place from April 22nd to April 26th.

This year, the in-person segment coincides with Miami Tech Month, offering participants a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the Miami tech community. Tech Month is renowned for its packed schedule of events, conferences, talks, and networking opportunities. With Mana Tech by their side, participants of the program will have the chance to be at the heart of Miami Tech Month, where invaluable connections can be made, and opportunities for their businesses will flourish.

The cohort was warmly welcomed on Sunday with a dinner at North Italia, providing an opportunity for introductions and team-building. Following this, they embarked on a week of intensive workshops led by our outstanding lineup of mentors, which included Ariana Pareja, Hanoi Morillo, Alex Robbio, Bo Megginson, and more. These experts shared their insights, equipping founders with the tools and knowledge necessary to advance their businesses.

Seven startups advanced to the final Demo Day competition: Apura, BRISA, Learninc, Little Rebels, Luby, Smartspace, and Woof. The judges were highly impressed by these founders, ultimately selecting Woof as the winner, who was also elected as the most valuable player by their peers.
