Bitcoin 2021, the world’s largest annual Bitcoin conference, has announced that it will return to an in-person event this year and will no longer be held in Los Angeles. It will instead be held in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood at Mana Wynwood, a convention center campus owned by visionary entrepreneur Moishe Mana, Miami’s largest private landowner.
In partnership with the City of Miami, Mayor Francis X. Suarez and Mana Common, Bitcoin 2021 was conceptualized with the mission to take Bitcoin back to its origins and “make Bitcoin fun again.” The conference will offer community connections, technical education and real-world Bitcoin implementations in a collaborative and festival-style atmosphere featuring food trucks, a Lightning Network-powered video game arcade, a skateboard halfpipe that will be used by Tony Hawk, a Bitcoin-inspired art gallery and a beer garden networking area.
Bitcoin 2021 will run from June 4-5, with an institutional-focused “Whale Day” on June 3. The conference will welcome a multifaceted cast of speakers including the leading entrepreneurs, developers, researchers and regulators focused on all things Bitcoin.
Over 100 partners will participate and be given the opportunity to showcase their latest technology, wallets, nodes and services. Many of the 10,000 attendees are from bitcoin-focused businesses looking to grow alongside the market and will be seeking opportunities for partnerships, new hires, investors and more.
The inaugural Bitcoin 2019 conference saw 2,000 attendees converge on San Francisco to celebrate 10 years of the technology. Speakers featured privacy advocate Edward Snowden, alongside notable early adopters like ARK Invest CEO & CIO Cathie Wood and investor Tim Draper.
