• Deal-by-Deal Investing: Invest from $2,000 per startup through a streamlined SPV and diversify your portfolio with promising international early-stage companies willing to enter the US Market through Miami.
• Expert Selection: Our Investment Committee, comprised of renowned investors, selects the most promising startups for each cohort.

Here's how it works

• Scouting: In partnership with Mana Tech, scale2miami continuously searches the globe, attracting hundreds of ambitious MVP-stage Founders eager to apply to our program, expand to the US market, and make Miami their new home (costs are covered by Mana Tech).
• Top 20 Selection: Each semester, scale2miami’s screening committee selects 20 exceptional Founders.
• 4-Week Online: This Mana Tech online program provides the selected 20 Founders with expert mentorship, valuable resources, and market insights to assess their US potential (Mana Tech covers costs).
• Top 10 Selection: scale2miami's investment committee meticulously selects the top 10 startup Founders.
• Week-long Miami Experience: This Mana Tech in Miami program includes workshops, networking events, and personalized guidance, culminating in a high-profile Demo Day showcasing their ventures to US investors (Mana Tech covers costs, but the 10 startups selected cover travel costs).
• Top 5 Selection: scale2miami's investment committee rigorously hand-picks the top 5 startups demonstrating exceptional promise and generating strong interest from Miami-based potential next-round investors.
• Investment opportunity: Back any or all of these 5 high-potential startups and gain access to a collaborative ecosystem designed to accelerate growth and maximize returns.
• Incubation & Growth: Invested startups get 12 months of support from Mana Tech.
  • Months 1 - 6: Dedicated mentorship and resources to launch their US MVP and gain market traction.
  • Months 7 - 12: Strategic guidance and investor connections to secure their next round of funding from Miami's active investment community.

scale2miami selection criteria

• Early-stage startups: With a validated MVP and high growth potential in the US market. Revenue is a plus!
• Global reach: Open to companies worldwide, with a preference for those from Latin America and Europe.
• Industry agnostic: Sector agnostic with a preference for AI, Agri-foodtech, Climate, Sport, and Finance.
• US Market potential: Validated potential for significant success in the US market.
• Team Readiness: A strong and well-balanced team eager to learn how to navigate the US market.
• Complementary Expertise: Mana Tech's expertise and resources complement startups’ strengths, fueling growth.
• Founder commitment: CEO committed to relocating to Miami with a clear path to obtaining a US work permit.
• Next-round Investor interest: Strong interest from Miami-based potential next-round investors.

SPVs managed on Angellist

• SPV's Costs: Angellist costs will be passed through (6% to 8% of your investment).
• No Carry: scale2miami and Mana Tech will not receive a percentage of the profits, ensuring maximum returns for investors.
• Investment Terms: Top startups receive up to $300k in funding for up to 9% equity stake, based on the next priced funding round.
• Incubation & Growth: Only invested startups get 12 months of support from Mana Tech in exchange for a $30K operational fee that ensures maximizing the impact of your investment in each company.
