Miami is quickly becoming a hotbed for innovation and startups, thanks in part to its growing tech scene and supportive business community. Mana Tech’s program initiative, Base Miami, selected 15 of the best Latin American startups to be a part of the first edition Miami accelerator program, which has already made a significant impact on the city’s international startup ecosystem.
“The program structure is incredibly organized. First giving us an overview of what Florida is and how it’s doing in the ecosystem and then diving into specific issues like fundraising, sales, and legal aspects. That structure made me understand the context and what it means to come to the US market.” by=”Sebastián Romero” from=”Co-Founder and CEO, BucksApp”>
Founders from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Colombia, and more attended online bootcamps led by our team of experts in the US market and startup experiences. They prepared for a month before finally uniting in Miami for the in-person portion of the program. After a week of networking events and getting to experience Miami firsthand, the program concluded with a Demo Day where founders pitched their business ideas and received feedback from key players in the Miami tech ecosystem. The winner of the first edition was Suplait, presented by its CEO and Founder, Camilo Silva. We also want to congratulate the most distinguished company, Triidy led by Andres Hernandez.
Mana Tech and Base Miami are incredibly proud of what these founders have achieved in such little time. Each startup now has the knowledge and tools to propel its business to new heights, and it is inspiring to see the personal growth and connections made by each founder within the ecosystem. They will now always be part of the Mana Tech family.
“One of the things that I really love about the Mana Tech community and the Mana Tech team is the ability to connect with the full might of the Miami ecosystem. We as Microsoft for Startups are very happy to support them from the beginning to the end of the program. Thanks, Mana Tech!” by=”Mariano Amartino” from=”Americas Managing Director, Microsoft for Startups”>
