The team began the day with a visit to the BCI offices, where they explored the structure of Co-Work Latam. Later, they toured a vineyard to sample organic Chilean wine and enjoyed a lunch meeting with family office representatives, who shared insights into the incredible work being done in Chile.

Wednesday, November 20th

The team had lunch with Circulo Israelita de Chile members, exchanging stories and creating connections rooted in their shared heritage. 

Afterward, they attended events hosted by esteemed partners such as CORFO, Daedalus Ventures, and DILA Capital, deepening their understanding of Chile’s tech ecosystem.

Thursday, November 21st

The first day of ETMday was packed with activity, featuring Charly Esnal and EtienneGillard as panel participants. Moishe Mana concluded the day with an inspiring closing remark, sharing his entrepreneurial journey and vision for transforming Miami into the next major hub of the Americas.

That evening, the team hosted a VIP cocktail event, infusing Miami Vibes into Chile with an evening of networking, music, and innovation.

Friday, November 22nd

On their final day in Chile, the team returned to ETMday to solidify relationships with local partners and lay the groundwork for future collaborations.

At the Expo Agrofuturo conference back in October, an event that brought together the biggest players in the South American agricultural industry, Mana announced Mana Agro’s alliance with Microsoft and Croper, which aims to improve connectivity and performance across agricultural farms in Colombia.

Croper is an agricultural marketplace that connects producers with suppliers. By getting rid of the middleman in the production chain, producers are expected to increase profits. The platform will also grant them access to buyers interested in their products.

Microsoft’s contributions play a key role in this alliance, as well. They will share their expertise in connectivity for rural areas and technologies designed for the field. This allows farmers to have access not only to the internet, but also educational and health programs designed specifically for life on the field. This will improve the community’s quality of life and their digital skills training.

Together, the alliance will serve as an agro-supportive ecosystem and provide innovative solutions to challenges faced in the field through connectivity and exclusive access to markets. The plan is to facilitate the implementation of sensors at the farms and connect analytic services and smart farming techniques so farmers can make better decisions and increase productivity. This project will impact 1500 farmers in Jericó, Antioquia.

Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia, opened the floor with a speech on the importance of digitizing the country’s connectivity and economy, and how to teach Colombians to use and benefit from such technologies.

Afterward, Petro had a one-on-one meeting with Moishe Mana, Founder and Chairman of Mana Common, and discussed the future of Colombia and how their plans could align in efforts to link LATAM countries to the world.

Mana closed the floor with a speech about his vision for Downtown Miami becoming the next tech hub and economic engine for the Americas. Mana also voiced Mana Common’s mission to create a bridge between Latin America and Miami, by encouraging and convening the main leaders of the region in the private, official, and academic sectors.

The newly appointed Mana Tech CEO Charly Esnal joined Mana on stage to educate attendees on the team’s merger with Base Miami, and their accelerator program that encourages and supports LATAM entrepreneurs’ efforts to expand to the US market via Miami.

The Mana Tech team welcomed attendees to their booth which served not only as a brand presence, but also provided a space to network and educate attendees about Base Miami and Mana Tech’s goals for Miami. The team is confident the relationships built will create strong partnerships and LATAM presence within Mana Common communities.

Manuel Martinez, Executive Director of the ICT Research and Development Center of Colombia (CINTEL), extended the honorable invitation to Mana to be a keynote speaker at this year’s edition of ANDICOM. He will be speaking at the panel, ‘The construction of Miami as the digital capital of Latin America’, and talk about his journey through life, from starting his business to building the largest real estate investment in and around Downtown Miami.

Mana will be accompanied by Charly Esnal, Director of Mana Tech, and other team members to guide aspiring entrepreneurs to envision and achieve growth in the US market. The team will have a booth to welcome and inspire decision makers and many distinguished technology companies in Colombia and Latin America, as well as educate attendees about Mana Tech’s mission to make Miami the next innovative tech hub.

There has already been significant interest from investors and tech companies looking for office spaces in the Nikola Tesla Innovation Hub, one of Mana’s largest projects to date. Plans also include a mural of Nikola Tesla, a waterfall, restaurant and bar. In addition, Mana is refining designs for several other buildings in the Flagler District and plans to not only use them for office spaces, but also fashion and photography studios, hip new bars, speakeasies, top-notch restaurants and social clubs, all part of his vision to bring together a long lasting community.

Mana’s vision goes far beyond land ownership and construction. His approach places emphasis on the Mana Common venture, which aims to rehabilitate the main street and preserve downtown’s history, authenticity and identity. “Hopeful that he will eventually hook investors into that broader communitarian vision.”

There is a long, arduous road ahead to restructure and bring new life to the historic downtown area, and Mana has shown that the progression is at last well on its way.

It is in fact a massive project and a rewarding journey to witness the revitalization of one of the most renowned streets turn into what is planned to be the future technological hub of the nation.

The tweet garnered immense traction across the tech community, and the momentum hasn’t slowed down one bit. The mayor’s remarks at ROI Miami mentioned a fundamental truth: tech is here to stay. Cities have two distinct options: to either run from change or to embrace it head on. Miami is prepared to do the latter, and has been for quite a while now.

Each startup delivered a 5 minute pitch, followed by a series of questions/comments from the investors. Investors included Moishe Mana, Krishan Aurora, Jeff Ransdell, Monique Idlett-Mosley, Joe Dagrosa, Alexandra Wilkis Wilson and Tanya Sam.

ROI typically represents a return asked solely by investors such as those listed above, however what made ROI Miami unique is that ROI was also contributed by the audience. Following the presentations, the community was able to engage with the presenting startups and have productive networking discussions.
