As Miami welcomed the excitement of the FIFA Club World Cup, Mana Tech created a space where the city’s tech community could come together to learn, connect, and celebrate. Each event began with an educational session led by founders, investors, and industry experts before members and guests gathered to watch the matches over food and drinks. The series kicked off with AI Content Creation with 4Geeks Academy, where attendees explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping marketing and digital storytelling. Through live demonstrations of platforms including HeyGen, ElevenLabs, and Higgsfield.ai, participants learned practical ways to create videos, voiceovers, visuals, and social media content using today’s leading AI tools.

Next, more than 20 founders, investors, and operators joined “Playing on the Global Stage: What It Takes to Build a Startup Investors Want to Back,” featuring Eugenia Di Marco, Amy Coveny, Michael Hyman, and moderator Rodo Aloy for an intimate roundtable focused on fundraising, international expansion, and the qualities that make startups attractive to investors.

The initiative continued with a Go-to-Market Strategy Masterclass led by Mana Tech mentor Lakshmi Natarajan, an award-winning Fortune 500 executive, entrepreneur, investor, and advisor. Over 40 attendees joined to learn practical frameworks for product positioning, customer acquisition, and sustainable growth. 

By bringing education and community together around one of the world’s biggest sporting events, the World Cup Initiative demonstrated how Mana Tech continues to create spaces where meaningful connections extend beyond the office.

Learning from Silicon Valley: The Reality of Building in the U.S.

In mid-May, Charly Esnal, CEO of Mana Tech, traveled to San Francisco to participate in Startup Grind San Francisco, where he moderated a panel titled “VC Perspectives: Building in the U.S. as an International Founder.”

The conversation brought together leading investors, including Eugene Malobrodsky, Managing Partner at One Way Ventures, Audrey Kim, Venture Partner at Oak HC/FT, and Manan Mehta, Founding General Partner at Unshackled Ventures.

The discussion focused on a topic that continues to shape the journey of founders from around the world: what it really takes to build and scale a company in the United States.

One of the strongest themes was the gap between expectations and reality. Many international founders arrive believing that entering the U.S. market automatically unlocks capital, customers, and growth. In practice, the market demands something different: clarity, speed, credibility, and a deep understanding of how the ecosystem operates.

The panel explored what creates conviction for investors, the signals that immediately stand out during fundraising, and why success often depends on how quickly founders can adapt to the market rather than simply gaining access to it.

The event also included pitch reviews with an impressive delegation of Bulgarian founders, highlighting the increasingly global nature of entrepreneurship and the growing ambition of startups entering the U.S. market.

São Paulo’s Growing Global Innovation Role

Just days earlier, from May 13–15, Mana Tech’s COO, Conrado Morais, participated in São Paulo Innovation Week 2026, one of the largest innovation and technology events in Latin America, bringing together startups, investors, corporations, universities, and public sector leaders from across the region.

Invited by Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty), Conrado joined the Global Ecosystem Stage to discuss Miami’s role as a bridge between the United States and Latin America, and how innovation hubs can help accelerate international collaboration.

The panel brought together representatives from institutions helping shape Brazil’s innovation agenda, including FAPES, FAPESP, FAPEMIG, and CONFAP.

Throughout the conversations, a common theme emerged: the strongest ecosystems are not built solely through capital or infrastructure. They are built through intentional connections between founders, corporations, governments, universities, investors, and global markets.

During the trip, Conrado also met with key players in Brazil’s startup ecosystem, including Cubo Itaú and MONASHEES, exploring opportunities to strengthen cross-border collaboration and create new pathways for founders looking to access the U.S. market.

These conversations reinforced the growing importance of international partnerships and ecosystem collaboration in helping startups scale beyond their home countries.

Building the Bridges That Matter

Although San Francisco and São Paulo are thousands of miles apart, the discussions happening in both cities pointed toward the same reality: Innovation ecosystems are no longer competing locally, they are connecting globally.

For founders, access to new markets increasingly depends on access to networks, trusted relationships, local context, and the right support systems. For ecosystems, growth comes from building meaningful connections across borders rather than operating in isolation.

Mana Tech recently welcomed two international cohorts through its Miami Immersion Program (MIP), continuing its mission to connect high-potential startups with the resources, networks, and market insights needed to successfully expand into the United States.

Developed as a bridge between global innovation ecosystems and South Florida’s growing technology landscape, the Miami Immersion Program combines virtual preparation, in-person programming, mentorship, and investor engagement to help founders accelerate their U.S. market entry strategies.

The first cohort was delivered in partnership with INGENIO Incubadora de Empresas from Uruguay. After four weeks of virtual preparation beginning March 17th, participating startups traveled to Miami from April 13th through 17th for an intensive week of mentorship, networking, and market exploration.

The program included meetings with investors, mentors, and industry leaders, as well as a visit to Miami-Dade County to learn more about the region’s business landscape and growth opportunities. 

The cohort included the following startups: Percus, XR Xperiences, MystherAI, LolosAI, B4-RNA, Saluxa, and POLYMERA. 

The program concluded with a Demo Day on April 17th, where founders pitched their ventures to judges and ecosystem stakeholders. Saluxa was named the winning startup of the cohort.

Mana Tech then partnered with SOFTEX to welcome a second cohort of 15 Brazilian startups. Following online sessions that began March 30th, founders arrived in Miami from April 27th through May 1st for a week focused on U.S. market entry and expansion.

Participants attended workshops and mentorship sessions covering go-to-market strategy, sales, partnerships, legal and tax considerations, cybersecurity, and storytelling, while also refining their pitches through feedback from industry experts.

The cohort included: Auralize Brasil, Brantheo, CAST, InnSpire, Numen North America, MarketView AI, Orange Testing – Test Automation Platform, OGI, Platform Builders, Square City, Supria Agency, Súpera, SysManager, Teltec Data, and TRINCA.

The program concluded with a Demo Day on May 1st, where startups presented before a panel of judges, investors, and community members. SysManager earned top honors as the winning startup of the SOFTEX cohort.

Together, the two programs brought more than 20 startups from Uruguay and Brazil to Miami, further strengthening the city’s position as a gateway for international companies seeking to expand into the U.S. market.

The company enters the U.S. market with a strong operational foundation, impressive traction in Peru, and a clear expansion opportunity in Florida’s construction ecosystem. Bildin has already achieved approximately $240,000 ARR while maintaining strong growth and exceptionally low churn.

Unify AMS

Led by Arpit Mehta, PhD, Deepak Jain, and Karishma Aggarwal, Unify AMS is an AI-native operating system that integrates association and event management into one unified platform.

The company has already secured 11 enterprise clients, generates more than $700,000 ARR, and operates with zero customer churn. Its AI-driven infrastructure is designed to streamline enterprise operations while unlocking new revenue opportunities for organizations globally.

What comes next: Miami unlocked.

As Miami continues to emerge as a gateway for international entrepreneurship, initiatives like Scale2Miami are helping connect global founders with local capital and strategic networks.

International presence was a defining element throughout Tech Week, with Mana Tech at the center of cross-border activity connecting Latin America, the U.S., and Europe. Through a series of delegations, partnerships, and ecosystem activations, its spaces became a platform where global players engaged directly with Miami’s growing tech landscape.

Among them, La French Tech returned to Mana Tech to host French Tech Capital Days 2026, continuing a long-standing collaboration. “French Tech Capital Days is our annual gathering in Miami, bringing together founders, CEOs, startups, scaleups, and VCs from across the French ecosystem,” said Corinne Benhamou Busson, La French Tech Miami partner. “From the very beginning, Mana Tech has hosted our events and supported our presence here. It has played a key role in helping us expand the French ecosystem in Miami.”

Argentina Tech Week also activated the space, with panels, networking sessions, and Cordoba Tech Talks, an initiative brought together by six major players: ProCórdoba, the Government of Provincia de Córdoba, CESSI (Chamber of the Argentinian Industry of Software), AmCham Argentina, Córdoba Cluster, and PromArgentina. Marcelo Ghilardoni, Consul General of Argentina in Miami, highlighted the involvement of public and private institutions, and stated: “This week reflects a significant effort to bring Argentine companies to understand and engage with the ecosystem here.”

Additional international engagement included visits from Link School of Business in Brazil, Pro Ecuador, and  Citec (Ecuadorian Chamber of Innovation and Technology), as well as a delegation led by the Ministry of El Salvador, including the visit of María Luisa Hayem, Ministry of Economy of El Salvador. She was received by Moishe Mana, founder and Chairman of Mana Common, to explore further collaboration between Mana Tech and El Salvador, with a focus on strengthening bilateral ties and creating pathways for Salvadoran startups to engage with the U.S. tech ecosystem.

Mana Tech also hosted a private gathering titled “Made by Chileans,” further reinforcing its role as a platform for cross-border exchange. The event was held at the BCI Chile Hub, a space at Mana Tech sponsored annually by Chile’s BCI Bank to foster collaboration and exchange between Chilean companies and startups and the Miami tech ecosystem.

Where Connections Become Deals

“Whenever we talk about an ecosystem, we are really talking about connections,” said Eugenia Di Marco, founder of Sisu and mentor at Mana Tech. “Tech Week creates the conditions to meet the people who can help you grow and scale your company in a solid way.” That spirit of purposeful connection extended across every gathering Mana Tech convened during the month.

Mana Tech also hosted an Experience Club gathering featuring a keynote by Neil Redding, bringing together operators, executives, and founders in a single space. The session combined strategic perspectives with direct access to decision-makers, reflecting the type of interactions that define the ecosystem.

Held in partnership with Grow, a Pag Law spin-off, it served as the perfect kickoff to the upcoming eMerge Americas days.

Ecuador Tech Week, the country’s largest innovation and technology gathering, returns for its fourth edition from July 11th to 19th, bringing together founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders across multiple cities.

Over the past few years, Ecuador’s startup ecosystem has grown rapidly, with early stage ventures emerging across fintech, logistics, edtech, and climate solutions. Local and regional venture capital activity is also increasing, and international investors are beginning to take notice. Ecuador is positioning itself as a promising hub for innovation, driven by talent, resilience, and a new generation of globally minded founders.

The previous edition of Ecuador Tech Week hosted 88 events across seven cities like Guayaquil, Quito and Cuenca, brought together more than 8,000 attendees, and generated over 20 million digital impressions. These results highlight the initiative’s ability to bring people together, foster connections, and create opportunities for the ecosystem. Founded by Guillermo Vizcaino and Andreina Gonzalez and backed by Startup Grind, the initiative continues to gain recognition within Latin America and beyond.

Mana Common founder and chairman,  Moishe Mana, has added another major property to his growing Downtown Miami holdings, purchasing the 31-story One Downtown office tower for $110 million. The property, located at 1 Southeast Third Avenue, was sold by Los Angeles-based PCCP and Boca Raton-based CP Group. 

The deal works out to roughly $244 per square foot for the 450,000-square-foot building, further cementing Mana’s role as one of the most influential real estate owners in the city’s urban core.  

Originally known as the SunTrust International Center, the tower has undergone significant renovations in recent years and includes a variety of amenities such as a rooftop terrace, ground-floor retail, and a large parking garage. The building also houses several tenants, including technology companies and professional service firms that continue to expand their presence in Downtown Miami. 

The acquisition fits into Mana’s long-term vision for transforming Downtown Miami’s Flagler Street corridor into a hub for innovation, business, and international connectivity. Mana has spent more than a decade assembling properties in the area, building a portfolio that now includes around 80 buildings downtown, along with significant land holdings in Wynwood, including the large event and creative complex Mana Wynwood. 

Speaking about the purchase and his broader strategy for the district, Mana said, “We believe in the Flagler District, and we will continue to increase our investment in South Florida.”

The purchase comes as Miami continues work on the long-planned Flagler Street streetscape project, a public improvement initiative intended to make the historic corridor more pedestrian-friendly and attractive to businesses. Mana has been a major advocate and supporter of the project, which aligns with his vision of creating a connected downtown ecosystem for entrepreneurs and companies from across the Americas.

Conversations explored the growing role of boards and executive leadership in shaping innovation, the emergence of automation and physical AI, and how global innovation hubs are influencing corporate expansion and collaboration.

What began as academic research moved into the city this month, as MBA students from MIT’s Sloan School of Management traveled to Miami to partner with Mana Tech through the MIT Sloan MENA Lab, under the academic guidance of Professor Jacob Cohen, Senior Associate Dean at MIT Sloan, and led by students Paul Guiloff and Michael Ben Aharon.

While innovation hubs are often studied in the classroom through case studies or models, this analysis examined Miami through real-world conditions like geography, culture, access to capital, and the needs of companies entering U.S. markets.

The MIT Sloan Fellows conducted their research by studying leading global innovation hubs like MIT Media Lab, CIC (Cambridge/Boston), Station F (Paris), Plug and Play Tech Center, High Tech Campus Eindhoven, CUBO Itaú (São Paulo), Epicenter (Stockholm), and more. This research focused on why organizations have chosen these hubs, what offerings have the highest value, and what motivates early commitment to a new innovation hub.

The students’ goal was to identify which elements of successful existing models were most relevant to Miami’s evolving innovation ecosystem, and how those insights could be applied to attract scale-up companies, venture capital firms, and corporate innovation teams into Downtown Miami. Rather than replicating existing hubs, the work focused on adapting the best global practices to align with Miami’s position as a gateway for international and local companies. 

Furthermore, the visit highlighted the longstanding relationship between Mana Tech and MIT Sloan, as a previous collaboration helped shape the organization’s early development, including the connection with Conrado Morais that led him to join Mana Tech as Chief Operating Officer. 

“Full-circle moments like this don’t happen by chance,” Morais said. “It’s incredibly meaningful to see Mana Tech once again partnering with MIT Sloan School of Management and welcoming their students to Miami.”

This ongoing partnership reflects Mana Tech’s commitment to building its platform alongside world-class academic institutions and global leaders. The work conducted by the MIT Sloan Fellows ensures that the Nikola Tesla Innovation Hub is informed by both research and real-world application.

I have not always agreed with President Trump, but his recent actions regarding Venezuela represent a bold and necessary wake-up call for the Western Hemisphere. What matters now are the next steps — whether this moment leads to stability, economic rebuilding, and hemispheric cooperation, or simply another cycle of conflict and fragmentation.

In 2019, I met with Panama’s President Nito Cortizo, who had inherited a major infrastructure agreement signed with China. The project would have effectively created a Chinese economic enclave at the Panama Canal — a strategic gateway that shapes the future of the entire hemisphere. I warned that such a move would inevitably awaken a “sleeping tiger”: the United States would never allow control of the canal or its surrounding ecosystems to shift into the hands of a rival power. The canal is not just Panamanian infrastructure — it is a strategic asset for all of the Americas.

The agreement was ultimately canceled, and the Chinese investment was sold at a steep discount to Western buyers. That episode was part of a broader realization: China now controls a significant share of the world’s mineral reserves and processed critical minerals — a growing economic and security risk for the hemisphere and the world.

Latin America is America. Venezuela is America. The Americas must think and act as one unified region. Allowing foreign powers to control our oil, copper, energy, and mineral resources undermines sovereignty, weakens local industry, and divides the hemisphere.

Since 2014, the Mana Organization has championed a One America vision — including the long-term case for dollarization and deeper economic alignment across Latin America. Partnerships based on dependency, extractive agreements, or alternative reserve currencies only increase instability. Dollarization, when accompanied by institutional rebuilding, opens the door for Western banks to invest, lowers borrowing costs, formalizes economies, and fuels sustainable growth instead of volatility.

Venezuela holds the largest proven oil reserves in the world, along with vast gold and copper resources. The future of these resources must strengthen the Americas, empower its people, and fuel productive industry — not leave the region dependent on external powers.

Trump’s actions signal that America is finally waking up. If Latin and North America move toward economic integration — representing more than 1.1 billion people and enormous productive capacity — we will build not only one of the world’s strongest economies, but also a more secure and resilient hemisphere for future generations. Our manufacturing capacity should expand in Latin America — not in distant nations that do not share our democratic values or regional destiny.

If the path forward in Venezuela is built on collaboration rather than occupation, empowerment rather than extraction, this moment could mark one of the most important turning points in the history of the Americas. Dollarization, industrial rebuilding, and investment focused on opportunity — not exploitation — will send a powerful message to regional leaders: growth comes from partnership, stability, and dignity.

I am encouraged to see the world taking stronger action against tyranny and corruption — and doing so in a way that protects innocent people instead of punishing entire populations.
